Most come from the Open Library cover archive; where it holds no image for an edition, the cover is taken from the publisher’s own listing for that ISBN. Either way the copyright in each cover remains with the publisher or artist who created it, and we record the source of every image we use. RNKD claims no ownership of any cover image and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any publisher or author.

If you believe material on RNKD infringes your copyright, send a notice using the Copyright option on our contact page or by email to contact@rnkd.online. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a complete notice includes:

• a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf;
• identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
• identification of the material on RNKD you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it — a URL is best;
• your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

We remove or disable material in response to valid notices, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.

When a page is withdrawn, its address returns HTTP 410 Gone rather than redirecting somewhere unrelated, so nobody lands on a page they did not ask for. Where a removal was a correction, the page it affected is updated to say so.
