Accessibility
RNKD is a reading site, so it should be readable by everyone. Here is what we aim for, what we have done, and how to tell us when we have missed.

The standard
In shortWCAG 2.2 AA is the target.
We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA. That includes text contrast of at least 4.5:1, keyboard access to everything, visible focus, and text that can be enlarged to 200% without breaking the layout.
What we've built in
In shortSemantic structure, real labels, no colour-only meaning.
Every page has one heading hierarchy and a skip link. RNKD publishes no star ratings or scores, so there is no rating graphic needing a text equivalent: a verdict is a word. Recommendations are words and shapes, not just colours. Spoiler sections use a native disclosure control that works with a keyboard and without JavaScript. Forms have real labels and errors linked to their fields. Motion is minimal and respects your reduced-motion setting. Every page works with JavaScript turned off.
Known limitations
In shortThird-party ads and Amazon pages are not ours.
Advertisements, if enabled, are served by Google and may not meet our standard; we cannot control their content. Amazon links lead to Amazon’s site, which has its own accessibility practices. Placeholder cover artwork is decorative and carries a text alternative naming the book.

If something is hard or impossible to use, use the Accessibility option on our contact page or email contact@rnkd.online. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and what you were using — browser, screen reader, keyboard. We will fix the class of problem, not just the one page, and we will tell you when it is done.
